Americas Best Value Inn Scarborough Portland

Staff was friendly. Due to health issues we needed a first floor room . I called ahead and they accommodated my request. We were appreciative of the help. As always with reviews, I am hesitant of them…so I read to see if I can live with what the reviewer find as negative aspects. The recent reviews posted were pretty spot on. The location was great, beds and pillows comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. The outside looked fine and well kept. There were ample towels. Yes, the soap is a bit rough, the folks upstairs seem to stomp when they walk and the shower next door could be heard in the bathroom. No of these things were issues for us. Honestly the only issue we had was the light bulb near the tub and shower was burnt out. I could have called the office but we just dealt with it as we were tired. I would stay here again.

Location was great, close to Old Orchard Beach and to Portland. Right off Route 1 but in a quiet neighborhood around houses. Very clean and comfortable room. Staff we interacted with were pleasant and polite. Breakfast was simple, few cereals and fruit available.

Very hospitable owner/management, Very comfortable bed(10/10) room is nice size , clean, cozy, & safe, reasonable price. Would have stayed longer if i had not already booked at an other hotel for the following two weeks while working in the area.

Breakfast wasn’t much, coffee was good. Real cream instead of the powdered stuff. I was allowed to have my dog even tho they don’t allow pets, that was awesome!

I loved the enthusiasm of the manager. He wanted to help me unload the car! While they didnt read my special request until just before arrival... we were still given an awesome handicap room.
